A RUSSIAN GARDENER PORCELAIN FIGURAL GROUP, DRUNK MAN WITH FAMILY, 19TH CENTURY - A Russian porcelain figural grouping entitled 'Drunk Man With Family' produced by the Gardner Porcelain Factory in Verbilki, circa 1870s-1890s. The drunken man is depicted stumbling forward, a bottle in hand, his left foot missing its boot. His wife stands beside him, holding both the missing boot and their child. They stand on a round, naturalistic base, appearing as a dirt track running through a grassy field. The underside of the base has the impressed Gardner mark, the red Gardner stamp, an impressed number ”7”, and the number ”118”. Verbilki, Russia, 19th century. Dimensions: H: 9 1/8 in., (23.2 cm.)
