A RUSSIAN POPOV PORCELAIN FIGURE OF A WOMAN WITH FLOWERS - Popov Porcelain Manufactory, Gorbunovo, Moscow, mid-19th century. Naturalistically modelled and polychrome-painted as a young flower seller wearing a broad-brimmed hat, puce bodice, green overskirt and flower-sprigged dress. She holds a posy in one hand and supports a basket filled with applied flowers in the folds of her pale-blue skirt. Standing beside a gilt-decorated vase upon a circular naturalistic base bordered with a gilt Greek-key pattern. Marked beneath with the underglaze-blue Popov factory marks.
