A RUSSIAN PORCELAIN FIGURE OF A FOOD VENDOR BY THE GARDNER PORCELAIN FACTORY, VERBILKI, LATE 19TH CENTURY - Finally modelled and painted as a bearded vendor kneeling on a cobbled rectangular base, wearing an ochre coat, white apron and black cap, holding a wooden tray laden with fruit and bread rolls and raising a piece of fruit in his right hand; marked beneath with the red overglaze double-headed Imperial eagle and circular Gardner factory mark, with an impressed model number.
