A RUSSIAN KUZNETSOV/GARDNER PORCELAIN FIGURE OF A SBITEN VENDOR, 19TH CENTURY - A russian figure produced by the Kuznetsov Porcelain factory shortly after their acquisition of of Gardner. The figure depicts a Sbitenshchik (sbiten vendor) leaning against a wooden stand, his cap turned up in his left hand and his sbitennik (sbiten pot) dangling from his right. The underside is marked with the red Kuznetsov stamp, impressed Gardner mark, and the number 146. Verbilki, Russia, 19th century. Dimensions: H: 6 1/8 in., (15.6 cm.)
