A RUSSIAN GARDNER PORCELAIN FIGURAL GROUP OF A KNIGHT AND LADY - Gardner Porcelain Factory, Verbilki, late 19th century. Modeled as a medieval knight kneeling beside a standing lady, the knight wearing gilt armor and a black mantle and holding her hand. A striped shield rests between the figures. The lady wears a floral-decorated gown beneath a cobalt-blue cloak enriched with gilt ornament. Raised on a naturalistically painted rocky base. Impressed factory mark and painted model number ”29” underneath. Dimensions: H: 5 in., (12.7 cm.) Conditions: Excellent, with no apparent chips, cracks, or restoration.
