A KNIGHT'S CROSS BREAST STAR OF THE WÜRTTEMBERG ORDER OF FREDERICK (FRIEDRICHS-ORDEN), WITH SWORDS, BY F. STEINAM - A Württemberg Order of Frederick breast star with crossed swords, comprising a silvered and gilt multi-rayed star centered by a gray-enameled cross with rope borders. The central blue enamel medallion bears the motto ”Furchtlos und treu” surrounding a gilt profile portrait of King Frederick I. The reverse retains its original vertical pinback and is engraved ”F. Steinam Hof-Juwelier Stuttgart, ” identifying the Stuttgart court jeweler. Instituted in 1830, the Order of Frederick was among the principal decorations of the Kingdom of Württemberg.
