A CAST-BRONZE REPOUSSÉ TRAY WITH NEOCLASSICAL MOTIFS, 19TH CEN. - A large circular bronze tray with repoussé neo-classical decoration, showing figures partaking in bacchanalian revelry, the rim further decorated with pan-flutes, urns, cymbals, masks, and other Greek style motifs. The verso shows three bolts, likely the original connecting points for the stand which this piece sat atop. There is metal wire wrapped around a bar on the verso to allow one to hang the item on a wall. Europe, 19th century. Please make all inquiries before bidding.
