A PAIR OF PINK LIMOGES PORCELAIN PORTRAIT VASES - Each baluster-form vase finely hand-painted with full-length portraits of elegant women: one depicting a lady in a blue dress with a wide-brimmed hat and fan, the other in a red and white ensemble with a draped veil. The portraits are framed against a soft gray ground with gilt highlights. Both vases feature rich pink enamel grounds, gilt rim accents, and applied gilt-bronze style handles with foliate terminals. Undersides marked in red with globe and banner stamp “LIMOGES / ROSE / C.V. & C.”, the mark of Coronet Vignaud & Co., used in the late 19th century for export porcelain. Please make all inquiries before bidding. All lots are sold ”as-is”, refer to our T&C. Helios Auctions offers in-house shipping. In case we can not accommodate a shipping request, a list of additional shippers will be provided. Dimensions: H: 13 3/4 in., (35 cm.) Condition: Both vases present well with vibrant, unfaded enamels and detailed portrait painting. Minor wear to gilding at rims and handles is consistent with age. No visible cracks or restorations; one vase shows faint surface rubbing in the pink ground. Bases with expected kiln marks and minor footrim wear. Overall, in very good condition for its age.
