GUY TRÉVOUX (FRENCH, 20TH CENTURY), A QUIMPER PORCELAIN CHINOISERIE PLATE - Of elongated oval form, decorated against a black ground with a fantastical galleon incorporating stylized oriental pagoda structures and sails, flanked by seashell motifs. The reverse is signed Guy Trévoux / Quimper in black enamel, with an impressed factory mark. Note: Guy Trévoux worked with the Henriot Quimper faïencerie during the mid-20th century, producing hand-painted designs that often drew from Breton folklore and imaginative chinoiserie subjects.
