A MID-CENTURY ILLUSTRATION FOR MAGAZINE PUBLICATION, BY ROBERT MARTIN, AMERICAN, CIRCA 1950 - Gouache and mixed media on illustration board depicting an elegant mid-century modern interior with a seating group arranged around a low coffee table accented by flowers and decorative objects. The composition emphasizes spatial depth through angled architectural planes, large window openings and a patterned tiled floor rendered with graphic precision. Furnishings reflect contemporary mid-century taste, including upholstered seating, light side chairs, decorative ceramics and indoor plantings suggesting an upscale residential or editorially styled environment.
