MSTISLAV VALERIANOVICH DOBUZHINSKY (RUSSIAN, 1875–1957) LANDSCAPE, 1915 - Pencil and watercolour on paper, inscribed and dated upper left in Cyrillic. Framed under glass in a giltwood frame. A delicate panoramic landscape executed in 1915, demonstrating Dobuzhinsky’s distinctive linear rhythm and muted palette. The artist’s fine draughtsmanship, evident in the rolling horizon and softly graded cloud, reflects his mature style developed after his involvement with Mir Iskusstva (World of Art) and his deep interest in architectural and psychological space. Inscription: signed in Cyrillic and dated upper left, ”Букля Рдуз. Ландшафт. 1915” (partially legible). Provenance: given by the artist to Nikolai Zaretskii, Prague. By descent to the previous owner.
