GEORGES GAUDY 1872-1906 ”CIRCUIT INTERNATIONAL - CRITERIUM DE REGULARITE TOURISTE”, BELGIUM, 1906 - Color lithographic poster on paper, published for the Automobile Club de Belgique to promote the 1906 Circuit International automobile races held across Spa, Namur, Luxembourg, Reims, Dinant, and related Belgian and cross-border routes. The composition presents five women in regional costume rendered in the flowing, decorative idiom of the Art Nouveau movement, positioned before a panoramic backdrop of early motorcars in motion. Heraldic emblems of participating automobile clubs appear along the upper register. Typography in bold red lettering dominates the central field, with extensive event text below. The lower left margin bears a printed signature for the designer Georges Gaudy, with lithography credit to J.E. Goossens, Bruxelles. Belgium, 1906.
