A PAIR OF BRONZE & PORCELAIN ART NOUVEAU VASES, ATTR. TO VAN LOCHOT, EARLY 20TH CENTURY - A finely made pair of petite Art Nouveau urn-form vases, each with deep oxblood-red glazed porcelain bodies mounted in gilt bronze (ormolu) bases and handles. The porcelain bodies exhibit a rich, mottled sang-de-boeuf–type glaze, while the mounts are cast in the organic, flowing style typical of the Art Nouveau period, incorporating stylized leaf handles and pierced foliate bases. Attributed to Van Lochot (Van Loocke/Van Locquot), a maker associated with early 20th-century French and Belgian Art Nouveau decorative bronzes. Please make all inquiries before bidding. Bronze mounts retain most of their original gilding with minor wear consistent with age. No significant dents or structural issues.
