A FRENCH NEOCLASSICAL MARBLE AND BRONZE MANTEL CLOCK GARNITURE, 19TH CENTURY - A three-piece mantel garniture comprising a central timepiece and a pair of matching two-light candelabra, executed in gilt and patinated bronze on cream-colored marble bases. The central clock is surmounted by an urn-form finial suspended on delicate bronze chains. The cylindrical drum case, flanked by four patinated bronze columns with gilt capitals, houses an enamel dial with Roman numerals and pierced hands. Decorative gilt appliqués, chain swags, and turned finials enrich the plinth and base. Each candelabrum is designed with twin scrolling candle arms rising from a patinated bronze column and terminating in lotus-form sockets with green-lined interiors. The square bases display gilt laurel mounts and are similarly raised on marble platforms with beaded feet and miniature posts joined by chains, coordinating with the central clock’s architecture.
