описание:

A RUSSIAN ENGRAVED SILVER ART NOUVEAU TEA GLASS HOLDER

Of tapering cylindrical form on a spreading circular foot, the body finely engraved with sinuous, naturalistic and trailing tendrils, the flowing vegetal motifs rendered in the elegant curvilinear vocabulary of the Art Nouveau style. The openwork upper border incorporates stylized angular cut-outs that contrast harmoniously with the soft organic engraving. The angular handle is similarly articulated with clean, geometric planes, creating a refined tension between structure and ornament.

Hallmarks: maker’s mark "МТ" in Cyrillic; 84 silver standard; kokoshnik assay marks.

Weight: 6.6 oz. (187.1 g.)

Note: The design of this tea glass holder reflects the embrace of the Art Nouveau style in Russia at the turn of the 20th century, characterized by lyrical floral forms, rhythmic linework, and a preference for graceful natural motifs. The maker's precise engraving and thoughtful interplay of geometric and organic elements are typical of Russian silver workshops responding to the modern aesthetic currents circulating in Moscow during this period.
