BADGE ”TO THE WINNER OF THE RELAY IN HONOR OF THE XVII PARTY CONGRESS, DNIPROPETROVSK REGION”. USSR (UKRAINIAN SSR), 1933 - Instituted in 1933 in the Ukrainian SSR to commemorate the XVII Congress of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. The obverse shows a large five-pointed star with the inscription ”Estafeti” (Relay) and the date 1933, flanked by figures of a worker and peasant with industrial and agricultural symbols including wheat sheaves, factory buildings, and a tractor. Inscribed above and below: ”Peremozhtsi / im. XVII Z’їzdu partii / na Dnipropetrovshchyni” (”To the Winner of the Relay of the XVII Party Congress, Dnipropetrovsk Region”).
