A SET OF THREE BURMESE BRONZE FIGURES, MANDALAY, EARLY 20TH CENTURY - ach finely cast and detailed, depicting Burmese peasants engaged in daily tasks: one carrying a large vessel suspended from a yoke, another with a basket and tool, and the third with a large cleaver and bundle. The figures wear traditional longyi and head wraps, modeled with naturalistic stance and expressive detail. Each is mounted on a stepped rectangular plinth. Bases inscribed ”MOMNA MANDALAY”, referencing the Mandalay workshop origin. Notes: Bronze workshop production flourished in Mandalay from the late 19th century, producing devotional figures, monks, and secular representations for both domestic use and export markets.
