A SILVER-MOUNTED SWORD WITH A LION-HEAD POMMEL, 19TH C. - A nicely crafted sabre from Continental Europe with an intricate lion-headed pommel and florally engraved knuckle bow and guard, all in silver. The blade is of the usual shape for a sabre and has a single wide fuller on each side. The grip is of either wood or horn, carved and blackened.
