According to Nagler, the illustrations by an unknown master from the school of Cranach the Younger and first published in Luther's Haus-Postilla (Wittenberg, Rhau for Selfisch) 1563 Signs of wear, leaves 189 and 190 in the first part are missing, (188, 191 and 192 underlying with loss of text), as well as leaves 259 and 260 in the second part. Leaf 473 only fragmentarily preserved, title leaf underlying with missing margins, leaf 322 incorporated into the manuscript, the woodcut on leaf 155 of the first part with face of the devil scratched out.
