A CARVED MARBLE BUST TITLED ”KIM IN TURBAN” BY NAUM ARONSON, RUSSIAN, 1900 - Naum Aronson, a carved marble sculpture depicting a young girl in a turban. Signed ”N. Aronson”. Naum Aronson (1872-1943) was a Russian-born sculptor who worked mainly in France. He studied art at the Vilna Art School before moving to Paris where he would live and work for the next 50 years. Aronson is known principally for his busts of well-known people, including Ludwig van Beethoven, Louis Pasteur, Leo Tolstoy, Grigori Rasputin and Vladimir Lenin.
