A MEISSEN PORCELAIN FIGURE OF SLEEPING MAIDEN, 19TH/20TH CENTURY

A late 19th/early 20th-century Meissen porcelain figure depicting the image of a sleeping maiden in a chair, her shoes aside, her left arm resting on a marble top table, and a letter tucked into her bodice. After a model by M.V. Acier (1736-1799).

Marked on the underside with underglaze blue crossed swords.
