Black painted wrought iron griffins candlesticks, standing on foot and tails, curved body with bird-like wings, long neck uprising and open mouths. A motif very popular at the ending decades of the Victorian Era when an eclecticist approach to all aspects of Western culture brought back the most romanticized elements of Medieval and Renaissance myths.
