A FRENCH PROSTITUTE DAGGER WITH SHEATH, 19TH CENTURY - A fine French prostitute dagger with a pointy, triangular blade capable of easy penetration and devastating damage, kept within a thin metal scabbard with a small ring from which would have been hung a chain or lanyard. The hilt comprised of a guard of two straight quillons with bulbous ends and a grip of carved horn or wood in a spiraling shape with an eared pommel. France, 19th century.
