AN OTTOMAN BICHAQ KNIFE SET IN A LEATHER SHEATH, 19TH CENTURY
An Ottoman bichaq style knife set consisting of two knives with bone grip scales, the smaller being of a simple utilitarian design and the larger having decorative chasing and molding to the guard and forte as well as 6 fullers and a pointer blade. Both are kept within an old leather sheath with a belt loop affixed to the back.
Ottoman Empire, 19th century.
