LEONARD - Agathon Leonard, French Art Nouveau gilt-bronze of a Bedouin warrior with carved face and hands, mounted on a striding camel atop a base modeled after a rocky surface. This piece is modeled after Alexandre Leonard's (1821-1877) 'Un Mehariste' (A Camel Cavalryman). The base is inscribed with the signature A. Leonard. France, 19th century.
