A PAIR OF SIGNALING LAMPS WITH ORNATELY PIERCED VENTS, 19TH CEN. - A pair of nicely crafted signaling lamps of varying design. One being comprised of a rounded red glass lens set within a frame of molded brass with ornately pierced vents at the base and the chimney, a small door at the rear provides access to the interior, with a carrying handle being affixed at the hinge. The other is comprised of a thick circular magnifying lens set within a circular brass frame that also acts as the door to the interior, the base being set with a foot and the top bearing a retractable chimney affixed with a hanging hook and pierced with ornate vents. The rear set with two swinging handles and a hook for affixing to a belt. 19th Century. Please make all inquiries before bidding. All lots are sold ”as-is”, refer to our T&C.
