TWO PAGES FROM A BOOK OF ARABIC GRAMMAR IN MAGHRIBY FONT
Two pages from the book of Arabic grammar written in Maghriby font. Probably North African. This book contains vowel marks (fatha, damma, kasra, etc.) above the letters, which is uncommon. The book's annotations contain explanations and comments and were most likely written by students who were studying the book.
North Africa, 19th century or earlier.
Provenance: a New York private collection.
