Rare SWITZERLAND MAP LEAF from 1575 Belleforest revised French edition of Munster’s cosmography
under the title “La Cosmographie universelle de tout le monde“.
Although the content of the work is based on Munster’s cosmography, most of the views have been re-engraved and differ for the most part from Munster’s original.
In addition, Belleforest created numerous views that can be found only in his work.
One leaf, double sided.
