A RENAISSANCE REVIVAL BRONZE CHAMPLEVE AND CLOISONNE TAZZA WITH FALCONER, C. 1880 - A Renaissance revival gilt-bronze tazza dish, decorated across its entirety with brilliant champleve and cloisonne enamelwork. The center of the piece shows a medieval falconer in a green jacket, a hooded falcon perched on his hand. Radiating from the center are hundreds of light-blue petals that gain in size as they get further from the center. The rim of the dish is decorated with a pattern of budding flowers with pink, blue, and white petals and green leaves. Continental Europe, c. 1880. Dimensions: D: 8 3/8 in., (21cm.)
