A RUSSIAN AVANT-GARDE OIL PAINTING ALEXANDRA EXTER, ATTRIBUTED - Oil on canvas painting depicting an abstract suprematist composition attributed to Alexandra Exter (Russian Soviet, French, 1882 - 1949). Unframed, unstretched. Note: Alexandra Exter was a Russian and French painter, the suprematist and constructivist painter, designer, and co-founder of the Art Deco movement. The name of Alexandra Exter is associated with such a fundamental trend in the history of Russian art as Cubo Futurism, a very special Russian version of futurism, reflected in numerous abstract compositions, still lifes and urban landscapes.
