A GILT-BRONZE AND WHITE MARBLE MANTLE CLOCK, FRANCE, 19TH CEN. - A 19th-century French Neoclassical mantel clock. The footed white marble base is garnished with floral ormolu decorations. The round white clock dial with Arabic numerals, hand-painted flower garlands, and figurative handles is placed in the center. It is held by two gilt bronze cupids or small Bacchuses with grape wreaths. A grapevine tops the clock. Please make all inquiries before bidding. All lots are sold ”as-is”, refer to our T&C. The marble base is in fine condition with no apparent cracks or chips. The movement has not been tasted.
