A SANTIAGO RODRIGUEZ BONOME BRONZE SCULPTURE
A Santiago Rodriguez Bonome (1901-1995) signed bronze statue of a man with an umbrella. The signature is on the side of the plinth as 'Epreuve d'artiste' (Artist's Proof) followed by 'Bonome'. On the back side of the plinth is the foundry mark 'Cire perdue / Leblanc - Barbedienne Fils / A Paris'.
Santiago Rodríguez Bonome (Santiago de Compostela January 1, 1901, Paris, 1995), known as Bonome, was a Spanish sculptor and ceramist. He has pieces in institutions such as the Museo del Prado, the Provincial Museum of Lugo, the Pontevedra Museum, and the National Museum of Modern Art in Paris.
