A PAINTED BRONZE CANDLESTICK TITLED 'LA CRUCHE CASSÉE', 19TH OR 20TH CEN.
A painted sculptural bronze candlestick depicting a young, loosely robed woman, as she sits at the base of a fountain, her broken jug lying discarded to one side. On the front of the piece is a stylized gilt label with the title 'La Cruche Cassée' or 'The Broken Jug'.
