A RUSSIAN SILVER NIELLO CEREMONIAL BELT, 19TH CENTURY - This silver niello belt is made of Russian silver with a leather inner attached with threading. The silver segments act as joints allowing the belt to staghten and fold. Each segment has a hook on the top, possibly for attachments, and each piece is designed with a floral motif. Silver Hallmark: Russian 84 standard, Egor Ivanovich Blomberg 1878 assay mark, and Moscow town mark. Marks on the underside of the belt. Weight: 20.5 oz., 585 g.
