A JAPANESE MEIJI ERA LACQUERED FAN-FORM BOX - Large Japanese wooden box modeled in a shape of banana leaf fan, the lid is decorated with images of scholarly items and auspicious emblems in gold hiramaki-e, takamaki-e on the cover and flower branches with mother-of-pearl inlays forming an elegant floral pattern around bodyю.
