A PAIR OF SOVIET RUSSIAN SILVER TEA GLASS HOLDERS WITH CUT CRYSTAL GLASSES, 1930
A pair of very beautiful Art deco style tea glass holders. Both are decorated with a relief depicting elephant heads, large leaves and curls, and fragments of a tortoise ornament. Hallmarks: "M.Yu6" (Cyrillic), 875 silver standard, and other Russian/Soviet hallmarks.
The lot is complete with two 19th-century gilt-silver teaspoons, decorated with engraved floral patterns and monograms. Hallmarks: The initials of the master "NP" (Cyrillic) and a silver standard next to a woman's head in a kokoshnik, turned to the left.
Circa 1930.
