A PAIR OF GILT BRONZE SCULPTURES AFTER ALBERT-ERNEST DE CARRIER-BELLEUSE, 19TH C. - Cast after a model by Albert-Ernest De Carrier-Belleuse (1824-1887), a pair of gilt bronze allegorical sculptures of hunting and fishing. The sculptures depict two young children, one wrapped in fur and holding birds, the other wrapped in a fishing net and holding fish. Mounted on a circular marble base. Albert-Ernest De Carrier-Belleuse was a French sculptor and one of the founding members of the Societe Nationale des Beaux-Arts. Ca. 1880s-1890s Please make all inquiries before bidding.
