A PYOTR BLETKIN, RUSSIAN, CHARCOAL ON PAPER NUDE STUDY - Pyotr Bletkin, a charcoal-on-paper drawing depicting a nude female figure. Signed 'P.B.' lower right. Matted, housed in a wooden frame. Pyotr or Peter Mikhailovitch Bletkin (1903-1988) was a Soviet painter and graphic artist of Georgian origin. Since 1923 Bletkin studied in the Tbilisi Academy of Arts. From 1928 to 1932 he worked at the Tbilisi Opera and Ballet as a decorator. In 1932 he joined the Union of Artists of Georgia. He became an Honoured Artist of the Georgian Soviet Socialist Republic in 1961. Dimensions: 15 x 9 in., (38 x 23 cm.) Condition: Perfect.
