A PAIR OF FRENCH GILT-BRONZE SCULPTURAL CANDLESTICKS, 19TH CEN. - A pair of gilt-bronze candlesticks shaped as Romanesque columns surmounted by molded and plumed helmets, atop which sit the sconce of each piece. At the top of each column are set two roundels with foliate and geometric molding. The underside of each piece is lined with felt. France, 19th Century. Dimensions: H: 17 in., (43.2 cm.) Condition: Good overall. Some signs of oxidation in places. Some remnants of wax from past use.
