A WW2 NAZI GERMANY BALLOON OBSERVER BADGE
A Nazi German WW2 Balloon Observer Badge of Silver Grade. Being established near the end of the war in 1944, very few were ever issued. The medal is comprised of die-struck zinc with pinback construction. The badge features a wreath of oak leaves and acorns surmounted by the national eagle grasping a swastika. Below this is a representation of an observation balloon with a balkenkreuz.
