A FRENCH BRONZE MOUNTED DESK SET, CA. 1840 - An exceptional French Napoleon III ornate dore bronze and marble desk set. The set is comprised of a duel inkwell, pen rest and gilt-bronze pen. France, ca. 1840. Base: 6 1/2 X 6 1/2 in., (16.5 x 16.5 cm.) Condition: The inkwell is in very good condition overall. It shows minor signs of wear.
