A PAIR OF FRENCH JEAN GILLE PARIS PORCELAIN CHINOISERIE BUSTS, C. 1850 - Two large French Chinoiserie porcelain busts made by Jean Gille Paris circa 1850. One bust shows a Chinese lady, and the other represents a Chinese nobleman in traditional attire. Each piece is modeled with meticulous attention to detail, finely hand-painted, and accented with gilding. Bears a blue ink maker's mark under the round base. H tallest : 13 1/2 in., (34.5 cm.) Condition: The pair is in very good condition overall. no cracks or visible signs of restoration.
