A BRONZE BUST OF AN OLD WOMAN, DUTCH, CA. 17TH CENTURY - A bronze bust of an old woman, which is attached to a nice circular lead base of the period and acts as a paperweight. The piece is attributed to the Netherlands, the headwear being Dutch in style. A later 18th or 19th century cast-iron version can be seen on Page 221 of 'Decorative Antique Ironwork: A Pictorial Treasury' by Henry-René D'Allemagne. Netherlands - CA. 17th Century H: 2 3/4 in., (7 cm.) Condition: Good overall with minor wear consistent with age.
