The iconography of the mold depicts that of a religious cross to be imprinted on the baked bread. Byzantine Empire - CA. 7th - 10th Century AD D: 7 1/4 in., (18.4 cm.) Condition: Very good overall. Signs of oxidation. Dents and warping.
