A LARGE RUSSIAN SILVER AND CLOISSONE ENAMEL ROUND BOX - Imperial Russian silver-gilt box, of a rounded form, the sides and slip-on cover beautifully enameled with varicolored scrolled foliage and floral motifs within blue bead borders against a stippled gilt ground. Hallmarks: 84 Imperial Russian silver standard, a kokoshnik mark, and the maker's initials ‘BP’ for Vasily Rukavishnikov, 1896-1907. Provenance: Sotheby's, NY. Weight: 13.8 o., 392 g. H: 2 3/4 in., (7 cm.) D: 4 3/4 in., (12 cm.) Condition: Very good condition overall. Some scratching to the bottom normal for its age, some rubbing to gilding on the lid.
