AN ETCHED STEEL SHIELD IN THE RENAISSANCE STYLE
Victorian Era Renaissance style etched steel (target) shield. The shield was made in the late 19th century. It is of convex circular form with a central peak. The rim has a pronounced round edge. This shield could have been made by the workshop of Ernst Schmidt as it looks very similar to his line of Medieval armor.
D: 21 1/4 in., (54 cm.)
Condition: Good wih very mild signs of wear.
