A JAPANESE 20TH C. POLICE PARADE (DRESS) SWORD - A Japanese 1930s - 1940s police parade sword with cherry blossom ornament on the brass handle and wire-wrapped grip. The blade is slightly curved. The scabbard has a small dent toward the tip. This sword was manufactured and issued to higher-ranking officers of the Police Department. L: 37 1/4 in., (94.5 cm.) Condition: Scabbard pitted.
