A LADO GOUDIACHVILI PENCIL ON PAPER DRAWING, 1972 - Lado Goudiachvili (Georgian, Soviet, 1896 - 1980), pencil on paper drawing depicting a portrait of a man and a bottle of Akhetian wine, 1972. Signed in Georgian on the lower left. Inscribed in Georgian and dated on verso. Lado Goudiachvili was a Georgian painter, draughtsman, illustrator and stage designer. From 1910 to 1914 he trained at the Tiflis School of Painting and Sculpture and from 1919 to 1926 at the Academie Ronson in Paris. While in Paris he became closely acquainted with Modigliani, Ignacio Zuloaga, Natalya Goncharova and Mikhail Larionov. Dimensions: 19 3/4 x 14 3/8 in., (50 x 36.5 cm.) Condition: Very good.
