A PAIR OF FRENCH GREEN MARBLE LIDDED VASES, 19TH CEN. - Pair of elegant French green marble lidded vases with gilded bronze mounts. Each decorated with carved ornaments of oval bulges and twisted frames. The ormolu mounts are richly decorated with stylized acanthus leaves. The vases are resting on a tripod base modeled as lion's paws and a stepped marble pedestal.Paris, the second half of the 19th-century. Dimensions: H: 17 in., (43 cm.) Condition: Very good with bronze gilding well-preserved.
