A RUSSIAN SILVER AND NIELLO LIDDED SNUFF BOX, 19TH CEN. - Russian silver and niello lidded snuff box, 19th century. Of rectangular form, decorated in niello with an architectural city view. Bearing a gold-washed interior. Hallmarks: George the Victorious for Moscow, an 84 silver standard, the Cyrillic maker's mark: 'I.A.S, ' an assay mark with the date 1887 under the initials 'A.P.' Weight: 4.5 oz., ( 126g.) Dimensions: 3 3/4 x 2 1/4 in., (7 x 5.8 cm.) Condition: Very good with monor scratches to the surface.
